The vibrant colour of the Red Room is typical of the decorative schemes used extensively in the late Regency period. Although the Crown & Anchor Inn was constructed in the early Victorian era it took its design influences from this earlier period. The ensuite bathroom is concealed behind the wall mirror and is delightfully eccentric with a statue of 'Venus' standing guard over the shower and original 1940's bathroom fixtures. The Red room is accessed from the formal lounge and displays paintings by noted South Coast artist Ritchey Sealy.
